The challenge
The hotel's old website was slow, hard to use on phones and had no booking option, so nearly all reservations came through online travel portals that charged high commissions. Room availability was tracked in a register.
Our approach
We built the website around photos and trust: real room pictures, clear policies, location and direct contact. The booking engine had to be quick enough that guests would prefer it to a travel portal.
The solution
Guests pick dates, see available rooms with prices and pay online or at the hotel. Bookings appear in an admin dashboard with an availability calendar, and guests receive confirmation emails and WhatsApp messages.
The site has separate pages for rooms, dining, events and nearby attractions, each written and structured for search.
How we built it
The website uses Next.js with optimised images for speed, and the booking engine runs on FastAPI and PostgreSQL. We also set up the hotel's Google Business Profile and connected analytics to see where bookings come from.
