The challenge
The company tracked raw materials, production and dispatch in different registers and spreadsheets. Shortages of raw material were discovered only when production stopped, and it was hard to know the real cost of each product.
Our approach
We started with the flow of material: from purchase order to goods receipt, into production, and out as finished goods. Every screen in the ERP follows that flow.
The solution
The ERP covers suppliers and purchase orders, goods receipt, raw material stock, bills of materials, production orders, finished-goods stock, sales orders, dispatch and GST invoices. Low-stock alerts warn the purchase team before materials run out.
Reports show stock value, production output and material consumption, so costing is based on real data.
How we built it
It is a web application on FastAPI and PostgreSQL, used on office desktops and tablets on the shop floor. We migrated item masters and opening stock and introduced the modules one department at a time.
