Secure Online Examination Platform

The institute ran its weekly tests on paper. Printing, invigilation and checking took a lot of staff time, results came days later, and students in other cities could not take part. Earlier attempts with simple online forms made cheating easy.

Fairness came first. We listed the ways students try to cheat in online tests and designed a control for each one, while keeping the experience simple for honest students on ordinary laptops and phones.

Teachers build question banks by subject and topic, then create tests with time limits, negative marking and sections. Each student gets questions and options in a different order. The exam screen locks to full screen, records tab switches and can capture periodic webcam snapshots for review.

Results, answer keys and topic-wise analysis appear as soon as the test closes, and students can see where they lost marks.

The platform was built as a modern web application with separate staging and production environments, so new features are tested before students see them. Admins manage batches, schedules and results from one dashboard.
